I am both a visual artist and a poet.

Poems and paintings are portals through which I negotiate the imagined, on the one hand, and the real, on the other, traversing the boundary between the known and the unknown.A touchstone for me is John Keats’ assertion in an 1818 letter: “I am certain of nothing but the holiness of the heart’s affections,

and the truth of imagination.”
